Transcript of the video above:
Hi – I’m Steve Cunningham, the President of Polar Unlimited and Founder of Read It For Me. Today, we are officially launching the beta version of Read It For Me Pro. What’s a beta? Well, it means that we want your help in developing and improving our service before we charge you any money. We just couldn’t look at ourselves in the mirror if we didn’t give you what you were asking for. So, for the next 3 months (until May 1), you will have access to video summaries of the latest business books, along with workbooks, author interviews, and webinars. For free.
The service is set to launch at a price of $299 per year on May 1. As a gesture of our appreciation for taking part in our beta, your first year will only be $199, and your price will never increase as long as you are a customer. You pay absolutely nothing if you opt out by May 1.
After May 1, here’s what that $199 will get you:
52 business book video summaries
The brightest ideas from the best the business book world has to offer, summarized in an interactive 10-15 minute video, weekly. Never miss “the next big idea” again. Some of the titles we’ve done and have coming up? Jack Welch’s “Winning”, “What Would Google Do” by Jeff Jarvis, “Made to Stick” by Chip and Dan Heath, along with every major release in the business book world. Watch them on your computer, listen to them on your iPod, even read them on your Kindle.
52 “idea-starter” workbooks
Put those 52 new big ideas to work with a workbook designed to help you implement the principles in your business the very same week.
52 author interviews
Hear the ideas from the book explained in greater detail by the author themselves in these interactive interviews that accompany each summary.
12 webinars
With select authors, get an exclusive 1hr interactive webinar where you’ll have the chance to hear the author explain the principles of the book in detail, and ask your questions to the authors themselves. Our first two webinars are with Seth Godin and John Spence. Big brains indeed.
Access to the archives of past episodes.
So that’s the offer. We want you to help us create the most engaging and insanely great business education service on the planet.
All you have to do is sign-up now, and if you decide by May 1, 2010 that we just haven’t been able to provide you with enough value to justify the $199 investment, you can cancel your subscription with no questions asked. Of course, we’d rather get your feedback and improve the service so that you’ll stay forever. To us, this is bigger than getting you the best ideas in the world and inspiring you to action. To us, this is personal – it’s about you and your growth. And we want to make this journey right beside you, once big idea at a time.
If you have any questions before you sign up, email me at steve@polarunlimited.com, or you can connect to me on Twitter where I’m @stevecunningham, or look me up on LinkedIn and we can connect there.
